Defibrillators for Dykes of Gray and WestGreen park (Dundee)

Our community group hopes to install two Defib units within the community to be located at Spar, 50 Braes of Gray Road, Dundee, DD2 5FQ, and Red Squirrel Nursery, 3 Middle Road, Dundee, DD2 5SP, therefore providing defib cover to the two main population centres within the western gateway. We have contacted St Johns ambulance whom advised that they will cover some of the costs for the Defib and Cabinet (excluding installation and consumables) if we can raise £1000.00 per unit towards the total costs.  Therefore, we are making an application to the Regeneration Fund for funding this £2000.00 plus £2793.60 for a starting set of consumables as detailed below/later in the application form. Permission has been received from the Red Squirrel Nursery Manager and Spar Shop Owner for the units to be placed on their premises and to use their electricity source The intention is for the Defibrillators and Cabinets to be installed by a local qualified electrician, we will be exploring if these can be installed free of charge and are confident this will be the case.
