Early Years – Sensory Room

We are a stand-alone nursery, and as such we do not have access to Pupil Equity Funds. The funds will support us to create a sensory room in the setting. We plan to transform a very large cupboard into a sensory room (Zen Den). The Zen Den will be a designated calm and quiet space within a nursery or early years setting that will be designed to support children’s emotional wellbeing and development. Its main purpose will be to provide children with a safe environment where they can relax, regulate their emotions, and take a break from busy or overwhelming situations.
