Dundee Ducks operate the multi-use sport pad at Unit 8, Manhattan Works. While it can be used for different sports, the surface is specially designed for roller skating and roller sports like roller hockey. Each Saturday morning, we have a public skating session where people can come and skate in a safe and managed environment. We charge £1 per person for skaters/ spectators and £1 for skate hire, and attract up to 300 skaters per session. Lots of people ask us if there are any evening sessions during the week, but the costs of running “new” sessions would be prohibitive for the charity in the event that we didn’t attract the numbers we need to cover rink hire costs, heat and light, volunteer expenses etc.
