Douglas Diversionary Activities & Holiday Provision for Young People

A focus within the youth team is diversionary activities for young people. This funding allows us to be responsive to the needs, interests and issues in relation to the young people within the local community. The opportunities in which we deliver as a Youth Work Team consist of providing evening provision 2 days per week and holiday programmes. The number of young people accessing provision continues to increase each year targeting young people aged 10-18 years old within the Douglas area. This application will enable the youth work team to increase our response to young people’s needs and interests by providing activities and experiences that would not be financially accessible for some young people within this area. The application would also support in sourcing any additional resources that may be required throughout the year.
