Menzieshill Countdown to Christmas light switch on and fair

As a result of the success of the 2022 event we decided to do things slightly different for 2023, Developing a winter wonderland in the community event space in the Church Garden. Having previously used the space as a catering village we decided to change the layout for the 2023 event. The winter wonderland was a great success with fake snow on the ground and real reindeer for the kids to feed and pet this created a magical experience for the kids visiting Santa in his Grotto. Going forward we want to make that experience even more magical and are looking to purchase some nice decorative lighting for the winter wonderland as well as having white picket fencing to add to the experience but also to utilise as crowd barriers. In 2023 the forum granted money to purchase a snow globe for the event this was huge success and added that extra special touch to the event experience. As is the case with the snow globe. The purchase of these items will not be restricted to a one off usage but will be utilised on a yearly basis as part of the event, as it continues to grow and develop.
