Toastie Thursday

Toastie Thursday is a new initiative to provide a safe space with wifi and cheap food for young people (senior school pupils) in Broughty Ferry. The cafe will be run by volunteers out of the St Aidan’s Centre on Brook Street during school terms on a Thursday (initially) between 3-5pm. If successful, opening hours could be extended to include lunchtime on a Thursday. The project has been developed in response to a lack of accessible after school provision in the area, particularly on Thursday afternoons when Broughty Ferry Library is closed. Toastie Thursday will help address this gap by offering a positive place for young people to spend time after school, reducing isolation and providing opportunities for social connection and informal support.
