Café social art club

A community art club within our teen employability café. Our café works with young people aged 14-18 who face significant barriers to education and employment to develop confidence, employability skills and a deeper knowledge of food education. Young people will attend weekly sessions in groups of 3–6, supported by specialist workers. Each six-week block includes skills development and practical café experience. The café operates a low-cost price point, promoting dignity and access to nutritious food. This grant would be used to give community members a cosy space to connect with others, reduce social isolation while also receiving a hot meal and drink. This grant would fund a local artist to lead on activities as well as providing income to cover the café costs.
