Douglas Diversionary Activities & Holiday Provision for Young People

Within the youth team one of our main priority areas is the offer of diversionary activities to young people within the East End ward. Therefore, this funding would support us to be responsive to the needs, interests and issues in relation to the young people within the local community. The opportunities in which we deliver as a Youth Work Team consist of providing evening provision 2 days per week, and holiday programmes. The number of young people accessing provision continues to increase each year targeting young people from P7 to S6 within the Douglas area. The funding would support us respond to the needs of the young people by providing activities and experiences that would not be financially accessible for some young people within the area. The application would also support in sourcing any additional resources that may be required throughout the year.
