Due to the assumption of mainstream provision for our young learners with additional support needs, we face increasing challenges in providing appropriate stimulation, challenge and sensory experiences which meet the needs of children experiencing developmental disorders, sensory processing, language delays and other social and communication issues. By being able to purchase specific sensory equipment, this would allow staff to better meet the needs of these children, who have been identified by allied health professionals as requiring exposure to these experiences.
