Spring Grove Fencing

The money is to pay for replacement fencing around the Spring Grove in Baxter Park. This is to secure the wildlife area for the coming years in order to allow for nesting and raising of young in a secure area(birds and voles and mice). This will also secure the natural water source for the wildlife from contamination by dogs(and humans!). The new fencing will also protect all the dogs -and their owners- who use the park as over the summer periods, when water level is lower, algae forms in the water which causes illness and death in dogs. New support posts for the ivy-covered fence are also being added to keep those parts upright; the flowering ivy is a haven for invertebrates throughout the year.
