Overview: Dundee City Council has made £600,000 available for a community voice project to allocate to capital projects that will fit the priorities identified by local people. The fund is split between the 6 electoral wards with the highest levels of deprivation. ​​​​

Objectives of the Programme: to fund capital works in each of the 6 wards above identified as priority areas for action by local people. local people identify local community priorities which will inform what people can apply for.  This has included targeted engagement with local young people, ensuring their priorities are respected in the process. 

Process: Application process opens on the 28th of April – 13th June followed by public voting process from 14th July- 31st August 2025. Results will be announced and funds allocated by the end of September 2025 and funds must be spent by the end of March 2027. 

Eligible Applicants: community groups, third sector organisations, charities, local authorities and other public bodies. 

Criteria: Projects must benefit those living in the 15% most deprived areas of Dundee and must link to local priorities.

Applications must be for a minimum of £6,000.

Projects have applied for funding to make enhancements that will address local priorities as identified by local people during consultation in December-February.

This fund has a focus on hearing youth voices and making dundee communities more positive places for those living and growing up locally.
